The Quantum Statistical Mechanical Theory of Transport Processes
A new derivation of the quantum Boltzmann transport equation for the Fermion system from the quantum time evolution equation for the wigner distribution function is presented. The method exhibits the origin of the time - irreversibility of the Boltzmann equation. In the present work, the spin dependent and indistinguishibility of particles are also considered.

This study deals with the transport behavior of the coarse-sediment at Masudagawa flood mitigation dam (FMD), Japan. Radio frequency identification system (RFID) was used to trace the displacement of the IC tagged particles following major flood events since June 2011. Through this, the relationship between recovery rate of the tagged particles and distribution of shear stress over the FMD bed ...
متن کاملتحلیل فرآیندهای رسوبی بنادر لنگه و کنگ مبتنی بر تفسیر مدلهای مفهومی و عددی
In this article, sediment processes and shoreline changes at Lengeh and Kong ports coastline are investigated. Comprehensive studies on effective parameters on sediment processes have been performed and coastal sediment transport rate in the area is estimated. For this purpose a conceptual model has been envisaged and the empirical and numerical models, calibrated and validated based on the con...
متن کاملPassive drift or active swimming in marine organisms?
Predictions of organismal movements in a fluid require knowing the fluid's velocity and potential contributions of the organism's behaviour (e.g. swimming or flying). While theoretical aspects of this work are reasonably well-developed, field-based validation is challenging. A much-needed study recently published by Briscoe and colleagues in Proceedings of the Royal Society B compared movements...
متن کاملA global off-line model of size-resolved aerosol microphysics: I. Model development and prediction of aerosol properties
A GLObal Model of Aerosol Processes (GLOMAP) has been developed as an extension to the TOMCAT 3-D Eulerian off-line chemical transport model. GLOMAP simulates the evolution of the global aerosol size distribution using a sectional two-moment scheme and includes the processes of aerosol nucleation, condensation, growth, coagulation, wet and dry deposition and cloud processing. We describe the re...
